I could go on and on about how happy I am about this product. This item cost at least $179 at all other online stores, but I only spent about $97 including shipping from this seller (which was as much as the price itself) I became rather apprehensive after reading some other reviews here, and a nagging though that “you get what you pay for”. But the pleasant surprise started when the item was delivered within 3 days (kudos to the seller – Cavalier Wholesale). The leopard print looks pretty enough to have it in our living room. We have 6 cats, and it was an instant hit! The tree is designed with well connected nodes at all stages, making it very stable. The wood in most places is thick and sturdy, but the faces of the houses are very thin and like cardboard. That would still have been OK, except that the face of the lower house was broken on arrival. We decided it wasn’t too serious, hardly visible and didn’t make any difference to the appearance or functionality of the tree, and we didn’t want to go through the whole replacement process, so we built it the way it was. Well – there you have it – fairly strong, pretty, effective – cats seem to have a lot of fun on it – what more could I say? I think I’ll hang some more toys and sprinkle some catnip on it. It was a great purchase!
Update: Tied toys to the towers on elastic threads, but they didn’t last long. Our devils yanked them free and were playing football with them all over the house – they especially liked the two fluffy white mice that came with the tree, and reduced them to shreds in a matter of a day…
order this cat tree by accidentally.
I didn’t mind to keep the order…and asked them sent to my friend’s house. coz I’ve moved to another city.
The shipment was sent to the wrong place, and they just shirked the duty to Fedex..
My friend back and forth several times, helped to pick up the shipment by himself.
for Cavalier Wholesale it might be a great news coz customer followed/confirmed everything by themselves.
but for me, it’s kind of wasting money and time …and got the cat tree that i am not satisfied with.
This is a great condo! It’s very sturdy and holds up. I have four cats and one weighs 20lbs. He loves it!!!! It holds him up great, he jumps around and climbs and the condo is perfect!!!!!
Iv always wanted a cat play house for the cats and i love this one. My only issue was part of one of the poles had a staple sticking out with part of the rope undone. The condition of the box was HORRIBLE but i blame fedex for that, fedex has always been crappy but wow im suprised nothing fell out! The box was holding together by a peice of tape! The cat house itself is very strong though one of my fat cats knocked the whole thing over. lol. i would suggest to buy this cat house, its cute!!
easy to assemble and awesome for homes with 2+ cats! A little of the heavy side but it is very big so I guess it’s worth it!
Update: 2 weeks after assembling the item, the top part of lower box in the condo collapsed on the right side (where one of the poles is). I had to get a rod to put inside to support the weight of the pole that was pushing dow, and problem solved!
