Disappointed with the screws, holes, etc…. more than a few did not match up…i ended up with SEVERAL unusable pieces… Not a great item at all

Overall the cat tree, for the price, is a good value. It is tall enough for a cat to look down and watch people, but not too tall to not fit in most rooms. It balances pretty well, and is made with decent materials.

The only thing I would change is the top bed. It is way to high for most cats to get into unless there is something else they can climb on to get in. The front is not cut low enough for the cat to jump into the top. I would have cut the front about 2 inches lower.

Aside from that I would have given it a higher rating.

We were excited to find a black tower for our kitty to enjoy that wouldn’t look hideous in our mostly black/modern apartment living room. The very reasonable price seemed almost too good to be true, but looking at the end result a month after setting it up for the kitty, I give this tower 5 stars.

At first there was some frustration, because the ikea-style directions mislabel two of the pieces, and instruct you to use the wrong piece right off the bat. We wondered why there was no bolt on the end of the first pole piece when there was a hole for a bolt to go into. Once we reached the end and had a pole with a bolt trying to match up to another piece with a bolt, we knew that first pole wasn’t in the right place. Disassembled and reassembled — not too big of a deal, but annoying.

We set it up in a corner near the window so our kitty could look outside. After a few weeks, she only ever went halfway up the tower and never jumped up to the top bucket-bed piece. We figured out that you could tug on the cloth/foam walls of the bucket piece and roll the fabric under so the kitty could see the now open top platform. After putting a treat or two up there, she started using the top area regularly.

She never crawls into the alcove, but she loves scratching on the posts, especially the top rope-covered post. She’s not very into the dangly toys, but she likes the tower itself and when she’s not on her favorite blanket, she’s on the tower sleeping on the soft “kitty paw” landing or on the top tier.

I can see why some buyers complain that this tower is too small for big kitties. We have an adult female who likely had kittens at a young age, which will stunt a cat’s growth. She is not a large cat, and this tower fits her perfectly. If she were any bigger, I doubt she’d be as comfortable sleeping on the landings or climbing up to the top tier. Another complaint is that the tower is too wobbly. It certainly wobbles on our carpeted floor when our kitty is climbing up onto the top landing, but we made sure to securely fasten the pieces together during construction, and I don’t feel that it’s dangerously unstable.

I definitely recommend this product to anyone with a smaller adult cat (or kitten!) who is looking for a fairly stylish tower for their kitty to enjoy.

I bought this about 2 years ago. It held up really good when I just had one cat. But with the 3 I have now, it started to fall apart. Overall, it was good while it lasted. The little balls that hang off the site are really annoying to listen to. I cut them off after the first week (sleepless nights of rattling). Oh and its pretty much impossible for cats to get up on the tallest level. I kept looking at it wondering how my cat was going to get up there… I think she was thinking the same thing.

It looks really nice since its all black and white.

My cat loves jumping on this thing. I’ll be honest, it took a little while to assemble. I ended up not even putting the very top piece on because it did make it a little wobbly, and accessing it was dificult since the sides are much higher than what is displayed in the picture.

After a few weeks of not much usage, my cat, Sugar, absolutely loves jumping and playing on this. She stands on the middle platform and grabs the rope scratching post with both paws and gnaws on the post, eyes as big as they can get! Before I go to work, she’s usually on right side platform awaiting her send-off attention. It is great seeing Sugar playing with her Christmas present!

The construction is solid. I would have liked seeing the platform a little bigger for stability, but it works out fine. I’ve had it now for 7 months and it is holding up well. It looks like it will last a very long time.
